Title: 33 weeks, 3 days - checking in!
Post by: justaboringmom on September 17, 2009 at 07:06 PM
Hey Ladies! I'd loveto hear from some of you how you're doing! So here's my update.... last Friday I thought my water broke around 4am. I waited for my regular dr appt that morning, and they did 5 tests - 3 came back positive, 2 negative (or was it the other way around?) anyway they decided that I had a small leak and sent me home with antibiotics.  Saturday my boys had a HUGE fight and shortly after I started contracting every 5 minutes and THEY HURT worse than every before. Went to L&D, was checked again, I'm 2-3cm dialated. However, 1 dose of brethine in addition to procardia stopped the contractions, so once again I went home. And that's where I've been.... had an ultrasound on Tuesday, and Leah is weighing in at just over 6lbs, AFI was fine. Discussed delivery options with midwife... because of diabetes, until I am 38 weeks they will stop labor every time it starts. However, if baby is over 9lbs, I will have a scheduled c-section. Midwife was predicting that I'll go 35-36 weeks. My mom will be in St. Marteen when I'm 36 weeks (week of October 5th) so I predict sometime that week. Soooooooooo..... I'm still on procardia every 4 hours, still on bedrest, go to doctor 2x weekly for ultrasounds and NSTs. Just hanging in here.....  I'm ready for all this to be over, I'm ready to stop having contractions ALL THE FREAKIN TIME, but then again I don't want her to come too early and end up in the NICU. At this point, it's in God's hands and I'm just along for the ride.
