I was not on bedrest i just put myself on modified bedrest for a few weeks and once i felt comfortable i did a little more but not too m,much.  I got weekly CL checks from 14weeks to 28 weeks, and my CL fluctuated a little each week. some weeks were longer then others but the stitch was always holding strong.  I am now 3 days away from ditch the stitch day and soooooo grateful for getting this far.  God is good.

GOOD LUCK to all the IC mommies out there.  Stay positive Keep the faith and you will get through this.

34 weeks today God is good :)

Thanks hun.  I can't wait to be able to tell my success story.  Hope you are enjoying your time with your new baby.  Enjoy every minute they grow fast.

Just want to let you know that I’ve had our baby!
The day I turned 34 weeks I stood up from the couch and felt something strange. I could feel the stitch coming out! Went to hospital and I was 2-3cm dilated with bulging membranes. The stitch had completely snapped and come out - no pain, no bleeding. I gave birth to a healthy boy the next morning - a whopper for his gestation at 5lb1.5oz. He spent eleven days in Special Care where he had to learn how to keep warm and feed. He’s home now and doing well!
Best wishes for the remainder of your pregnancy - you can do it!!!! Xx

Oh wow congrats mama.  I'm so glad everything is great and baby is home now.  Thats crazy how the stitch could snap and you didn't have pain or bleeding.  So glad you knew something was wrong and went in.   I'm 28 weeks and 1 day today cervix still holding long and closed.  I graduated this week from the high risk clinic to low risk clinic so that is a huge milestone for me.

wow 33 weeks. Good job mama.  Almost at ditch the stitch day how exciting.   My due date is July 14...i get the stitch out June 15.  I can't wait

I will be 24 week tomorrow first big milestone. Soo happy.  How you doing mama?

I'm doing well, cervix grew to 3.3 then down to 2.8 so i guess its dynamic and the doctor says its stable.  I'm not on bedrest but i do try to take it super easy resting most of the time.  I am now 22 weeks 1 day.  Slowly getting there.

wanted to give everyone hope that a cervix is dynamic and can change so please think positive and never give up.
I went in for another CL check today and my cervix grew from 2.8 last week to 3.3 today.  I am sooooo happy   i went through a rough time where i thought it was all going downhill but my spirit has lifted and i'm started to believe that this will finally be my rainbow baby.  Thinking of all you ladies going through this hard time just remember its only temporary and when its all done we will look back and say it was all worth it. xoxo

Yay for being stable and almost at 28 weeks.  must be such a relief. Praying you continue to hold strong and get bubs to full term  God is great.

Hey Jayne thanks for your reply. So sorry for your losses, I know how heartbreaking they are.  I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy,  No one should have to go through that.   I'm currently on Progesterone suppositories once at night.  I'm go weekly to the high risk clinic downtown for cervical length checks and i'm going to ask them if i should be on anything else.  I've noticed i've been getting brackton hicks lately and i'm paranoid its doing something to my cervix (hope not)  maybe i have irritable uterus.  I don't know but i want them to give me something to relax it.  I'm still too early to be having that with a short cervix.  Must be such a relief to make it to 28 weeks.  You are way past the viability stage.  I can't wait to make it to my goals 24 weeks then 28 weeks and so on.  Thoughts and prayers you make it to term.   Keep me updated God bless

Wow, we are in the same situation but you are 5 weeks ahead of me. I lost my 2 girls at 18w in 2016 and 21w in 2017. I am 14 weeks now and had a preventative cerclage placed last week and given Endometrin. To keep pressure off my cervix, I've put myself on bed rest since 11 weeks getting up only once a day for 10 minutes to have a bowel movement and clean up myself. I use a bed pan to urinate and get help from DH and family with meals. To avoid infection, I keep my legs open with no underwear, drink 4 liters of water a day and have natural yogurt daily. For exercise, I do leg slides, full body stretches, and ankle and neck rolls. For relaxation, I play hours of pregnancy meditation videos on YouTube or read high risk success stories online. Before I know it each day is over. So far, bubba and I are doing great and hope to see 32 weeks. I also have a bicornuate uterus so I will be having a C section. So, I wish you and your baby all the best, my dear.

Thank You.  Please keep me updated on your progress  Hope we both make it to term.  I just keep reminding myself this is just temporary and will be soon worth it in the end.  This is definitely my last child.

Happy 19w missK!

I know it's scary. But trust me, 25mm with a stitch in place is right around perfect  ;)
With a cerclage, in my place of work (big MFM centre in Lisbon) we don't admit patients to the ward unless they're down to 5mm or PPROM.

Have faith and try (try!) to take it easy.

Thanks that gives me hope.  i'm definitely trying my best to take it easy.
