Hi Alps! Hope all is well. Its good to know your discharge is gone. Dont be alarm that now you are using progesterone supp there will be discharge too....

When i was in hospital bedrest, i asked about ffn test but i was told that since i am using progesterone suppositories that it would alter the result to positive. So i was never given one.

You are almost to 28 weeks then after that your weeks will fly by! Stay strong.

Msjlow: congratulations!!! You made it! We made it!! That is great to hear that little Isaiah is doing great. I got lucky and did not have to have a csection but i did end up having post pregnancy hypertension in which i was given magnesium sulfate for 24 hrs and not allowed to get out of hospital bed. That mag was soooo evil!! It made me ache all over like i was hit by an 18 wheeler.

Hello ladies!!! With God's grace, i delivered a healthy baby boy last night at 9:36pm. Due to mild IUGR, i was induced at 36.4 weeks and he came out 5 lbs 6oz.

Birthing story:
On 11/3 i went in to have a growth check at 36 weeks and we found out baby was measuring 3 weeks behind due to placental cord restrictions. It was recommended that i get admitted for monitoring until induction at 36.4 weeks.

So yesterday 11/7 they moved me to labor and delivery. At 5pm doc came in to take cerclage out. It took 30 min cause it was really in there tight. It was painful! Tugging and the speculum was the worse! So finally stitch came out and right away i dilated to 4cm. Doc decided to break water then. Epidural was put in 15 mins later. 1 hr later i dilated to 6cm. Then 2 hrs later to 8 then 1 hr later to 9 then finally at 10cm. We did not even need the pitocin cause i was just dilating on my own. So, docs came in and had me start pushing...4 times i pushed then baby was out. Labor was easy peasy...i only felt alot of pressure. No pain. Taking the cerclage out was more painful to me.

Baby came out screaming. His sugar is measuring low so today they moved him to the NICU for monitoring. They have him hooked up on an IV and feeding tube through his nose due to unable to take formula right now. They said he was gagging and it could be from blood sugar fluctuation. So other than that he is fine and dandy. He should be out within 24 hrs if his sugar behaves.

Update: my OB appt yesterday went well. When doc checked me manually, i was already 2cm dilated and 100% effaced. I am scheduled to be induce Nov 7th and will take my cerclage out that same day. I will be 36.4 weeks at that time. My MFM thinks i should ride it out and not get induced...idk what i want! If im already dilated, i dont want to wait around and tear my cervix from the stitch if i go into labor before it gets taken out. And i also live 45 minutes away from the hospital! My last pregnancy i went into labor at 20 weeks and didnt even make it to the hospital im supposed to go to! I ended up in our local hospital that did not specialized in PTL!

Hi all! I am currently 34.4 weeks today 1 week before my ultimate goal of 36 weeks. I am no longer on bedrest but still taking it easy. I was on strict hospital bedrest for 2 months and modified bedrest at home for 1 month for cervical insufficiency. I finally graduated at 34 weeks to be exact. I am here to say bedrest does work wonders! Although my MFM said he does not believe in it but it got me this far! I was funneling down to my cerclage at 22 weeks with small bulging membrane. Bedrest was very hard in the beginning specially being alone in the hospital. I made it throuh by reading positive outcomes from this forum, praying, meditation, and hypnosis through youtube.

Stay positive mommas and keep faith.

Congratulations with baby #3 Andi-pants! Not sure if saying "welcome back" would be appropriate since im sure u are not wanting to be in bedrest if u can avoid it. But i just want to say that i have read your postings while bedresting and it has inspired me to keep strong.

Hi all! Just a quick update: i turned 34 weeks today and just got back from docs appt. I am officially off bedrest today but will still need to just take it easy and rest when i get tired. He said if i start labor they will not try to stop it so its a waiting game from now on. My cerclage is scheduled to be taken out at 37 weeks. Thats all for now.

I have to say bedrest is hard. Your first couple of weeks cooped up in bed will be the most difficult times. It will seem so slow but you just need to be strong. I watched a lot of netflix and vudu, read game of thrones, watch court tv in youtube, i also read old posts from different members here that is similar to me, i did adult coloring books, i also journal each day of my bedrest and reread them each week to compare how i felt the week before. I have a big calendar and mark each thursday as my weekly goal and draw an X every morning. I also made little goals...like 24 weeks, then 28, then 30, then 34...each of those goals i have a little celebration with cake and ice cream and invite a couple of friends and family.
