I told all my family and friends that I don't want visit from the start. I was in bed 24/7, do all my business in bedpan and no shower at all. So they all understood that I don't want to be seen in that state. So I get lots of messages on my cellphone and very few visit. Now everyone just got used to texting and calling me often and not visit although I have been off bedrest for two weeks.

Thank you Angela for sharing this article. The weeks after delivery are important for moms too, better to be cautious.

I am 36 weeks now, I am staying in hospital until my scheduled C-section in 2 weeks.

I am 35 weeks now, and I am still staying in the hospital. I am moving around more. My cervix is 100% effaced and dilated at 4cm. Baby is still feet breech. I have a C-section scheduled on Aug 24. I hope my baby will stay put until then.

I am 34 weeks now. My 11 weeks of hospital bedrest has ended this morning. Now I can do light activities and go out to get some fresh air in wheelchair. But I still have to stay in hospital because the baby is foot breech with my shirt cervix. Life is getting better.

@BabyB#2 I am glad you found more helpful excercises. Yes, I have felt some occasional cramps and contractions, I think these are just Braxton Hicks. I did feel regular contractions when I was 30 weeks, these were less than 5 minute apart and lasting about 1 minute but not strong. Since I was already in the hospital, I got treated quickly with IV fluid, and the conditions went off after a couple hours. My cervix dilated from 1.5 to 3 after this episode, luckily since then I have been quite stable.

Happy Birthday to the big boy!

I have been on hospital bedrest for 10 weeks and I made to 33 weeks.
My ultrasound today showed my little girl is foot breech again with her feet kicking my cervix. She seems not wanting me to put my feet on the ground. Since my cervix is less than 5mm long, I am now back to strict bedrest with feet positioned higher than my head, eating and bathroom all lying on the bed again. Hope she flips back soon.

@BabyB#2 - My cervix was 1cm when I got hospitalized at 23 weeks with funelling. Dr was too scared to do a cerclage. Now I am 33 weeks. For the past 10 weeks my cervix was between 3mm and 16mm, it has been less than 10mm for 4 weeks now. My physiotherapist gave me 3 leg exercise, 5 neck exercise and 1 hip exercise.

I made to 32 weeks and now start the 10th week of hospital bedrest.
I spent last week on strict bedrest (feet up head down) and was using bed pans because the baby was foot breech with both feet in the birth canal and kicking my 3mm cervix.
Luckily today's ultrasound showed her turning head down, so I am quite happy to get back my bathroom privilege.

BabyB#2: Can you request a physiotherapist visit? A physiotherapist showed me some bed excercises to strengthen my leg muscles and relieve neck and shoulders stress.

Thank you Angela for the cheering message.
I am 31 weeks today and 8 weeks on hospital bedrest. I have been stable and still hoping to be sent home when I reach 32 weeks.

Good luck Kate369.

I am 30 weeks now and 7weeks on hospital bedrest. This week's ultrasound estimates the kid to be about 3lb 3oz.

I had a scare last night too.  I started regular contracting around 8 pm, 5 minute apart and 30-60 secs long with an intensity of 5 out of 10. I was given a bag of 500ml IV fluid really fast to slow down the contractions. The intensity lowered to 3 but the frequency increased to 3 minute apart and 90 secs long. So the Dr prepared for a delivery plan for me and gave me a boost shot for baby's lungs (got 2 shots when I got into the hospital at 23 weeks. Then luckily the contractions slowed down by 2 am so I am still cooking now.

With my first baby, I had daily regular and frequent mild contractions (3-5 intensity) for almost 4 weeks before my water broke at almost 41 weeks pregnancy. 3-4 hours every day around the same time. Now I am really hoping that my last night experience won't repeat tonight. If it becomes regular, I doubt I will hold for 4 weeks this time with only 5mm of cervix left and a funneled sac.

There is 1 good outcome from my last night's experience. On Tuesday, the baby was breech. Then when the Dr checked her again yesterday around midnight, she turned head down.

Wish everyone a good week and keep your babies in as long as possible.

Good luck SuzieQMom.

I am still on hospital bedrest at 29 weeks. My cervix length improved from 5mm to 10mm this week.
My Dr is on vacation. If my cervix length stayed at least 10mm while she's away, I might be able to return home when she returns.

Congratulations Wyler.

My moral is a bit low now. My weekly ultrasound showed my cervix shortened from 13mm to 6mm. So I cannot go home as Dr had originally planned before this ultrasound. Now I might stay in hospital until I deliver or if cervix got to double digit length for at least 2 weeks.

My son started a fever. So it's the first time Mommy won't be available when he's sick.

The weather is nice but I am stuck in my hospital room. I am now 27weeks, I said goodbye to the bedpans last Saturday. If all goes well, I will go home next week.
Home bedrest will be more pleasurable.
