Making the Best of Bed Rest / Re: Roll Call for Monday March 28th
« on: March 29, 2011 at 11:29 AM »
Forgot to check in yesterday ugh!

I'm doing well, I'm 31 wks & 4 days along! Feeling the occasional BH contractions these past few days but nothing serious! It lasts maybe 10 seconds & occurs maybe a few times a day :) Baby has been very active so I know all is well!

It was a nightmare to get scanned last week so I didn't get one done which worried me a little bit. I do see my dr next week though & he'll scan me himself so that's ok with me!  ;D

So glad to hear everyone is doing well this week!!  :)

Checking in! :)

I'm 31 wks in & still baking away! I have a ultrasound tomorrow so I'm hoping all is well...My dr appointment last week went well & dr thinks I'll go full term since I'm doing very well considering I'm on my 9th wk of modified bed rest..Fingers crossed he's right! I had some stinging sensations last wk & he told me it was most likely due to baby's positioning since he's still breech ugh..I hope baby turns soon  :-\

Oops! Checking in today :) I'm 30 weeks & still on bed rest but more modified..I can at least stand for 10 mins now without feeling too guilty lol..I have my dr appointment this week but had a fetal growth scan last week & baby was 2lbs 7 ozs so we're doing well!

I've had cramping since 6 weeks on & off...it's always belly button down & dead centre..no bleeding & I'm also unsure what's leaking & what's discharge anymore ugh! I've told my drs & they have noted it. I also feel pressure belly button down but not actual fully belly braxton hicks. I've also told drs & they told me to just keep track of it. I feel stinging too & I know that's my cervix doing things down there. Nothing fixes it but elevating my bottom so I'll occasionally switch positions & remove/add pillow under my bottom half. Sorry I'm not any help but I wanted to let you know I'm definitely stressed like you!

Reaghan3 congratulations On Rosalyn!!  :)

Welcome new members!  :) :)

I'm late checking in but I'm still here at 29 wks going on wk 7 of bed rest! I'm actually doing well this wk, felt less stinging 'down there' & my aches are better since dr has let me do little trips around the house. Again, nothing strenuous but those moments being upright helps with muscle aches a lot! Last scan showed zero funneling & I'm holding now at 1.8cms from 1.1cms..I've been more positive lately, zero meltdowns so it's been a good week :) I have my glucose test tomorrow & another scan to check for baby's growth so we'll see where I'm at then...

So far no new stretch marks being this is my 3rd pregnancy but I barely had any the first time. My 2nd pregnancy made up for it though LOL! I started to get them at around 7-8 months so I'm expecting new ones to start cropping up now sigh..Cellulite though has been multiplying for a while now   :P

Just an update: had my dr & ultrasound appointments today & found my cervical length is now 1.8cms from 1.1cms & the funneling we saw 2 wks ago has disappeared! My baby is on the small side tho & now I'll need weekly ultrasounds to check his weight & growth  :( aside from that I am very happy that my cervix is behaving !  ;D

Checking in...

I'm officially at 28 weeks! It was my first goal when I first was put on bed rest 6 weeks ago. I don't want baby to come yet but I feel a sigh of relief that should he come he has a high survival rate :) I see my dr on Wednesday & have a scan scheduled & need to do my glucose test. I am not looking forward to any of this :( I have had to help my hubby a little around the house & for work since we own a business & work from home. It's nothing strenuous but I'm not happy to be upright as much as I have been this past week. Having lost my mother's help & my older child being home for Spring Break hasn't helped my cause at all sigh..

Cord banking is something I've thought of since my first child was born over 6yrs ago...we never banked any of our cord blood because we couldnt afford it. Now where I live we have a public cord bank that we donate to if we want to. My husband & I are definitely considering it even if it's not reserved solely for us...it's such a precious thing to waste & since this is our last child, we think it would be a good thing to do :)

Reaganh3,

Omg this is exciting news!! Yay you've made it!!

I agree w/the "breaking waters" thing...my first labour was uncomfortable & I got to the hospital at 7cms! They use a lil stick to puncture the bag of water & I think for me the contractions got stronger almost immediately! The breaking doesn't hurt, it's the contractions to follow that makes things harder to handle...good luck on Tuesday!!

"You'll miss all this free time on the couch"...who says that?? As a mom of 2 kids already I WILL not miss any of this bed rest! That's just a dumb thing to say, especially to a bed resting mom-to-be..

Lanespoli,

Hi, I'm 26 weeks along :)

Reaganh3,

Thanks! I'm trying to stay positive, I definitely need to get to bare minimum 28 weeks. I'm convinced I can go full term though!
