Pregnancy Complications / We made it!!
« on: September 28, 2017 at 03:52 PM »
My little miracle made her appearance yesterday.
After having bulging membranes, dilation, with rescue cerclage placement at 21 weeks I was told she wouldn't make it
And if she did we would only get to about 26 weeks. Well after being on bedrest from 21-36 weeks I ditched my stitch at 37 weeks and had a csection yesterday at 39w2days. Perla Victoria was 8lbs10oz 20.5 inches long and is happy and healthy.
Have faith everyone, you can beat the odds, baby dust for all!!

I'm currently 27 weeks 1 day. Had emergent rescue cerclage placed at 21 weeks for u shaped funneling, bulging membranes, and dilation. Doctor never thought I would make it this far, since surgery I've been on strict bed rest only bathroom and shower sitting every other day, also on vaginal progesterone and procardia to prevent contractions. My mother in law has been here entire time but has to leave when I'm about 31 weeks :(. We don't have any other family that can help me so I can stay on complete bedrest, so during the day I will have to take care of our 22 month old baby and  will only be able to lay down when toddler will allow.
My appointment last week cervix decreased from 1.9cm to 1.4 still have u shaped funneling but cervix is closed and cerclage in place. My question is does anyone think cerclage will hold until closer to term not being on strict bedrest? Any stories of hope?

At 21 weeks I had less than 1cm of cervix left, bulging membranes and fingertip dilated. I had a rescue cerclage placed after doctor was able to push back in my daughters sac. I was in the hospital for 3 days after procedure and have been on strict bed rest, vaginal suppositories, procardia ever since. I am now 25weeks and 3 days. My doctor said we are lucky if we got through the first 48 hours and after that lucky if we make it 5 weeks. Of course I am hoping to carry to term and wondering how long everyone was able to go with their cerclage. Looking for hope.
