Wanted to update and say hello! Grayson and Hallie are 9 days old today and doing great! They are trying them off cpap today and he is almost back to his birth weight at 3.12lbs and she is back to her birth weight at 3lbs. They are absolutely precious. We are so in love! Hope everyone is doing well. I was on bed rest 10 weeks and can say it's a distant memory and worth every single moment. You will nearly forget about it when you littles one are here. Keep up the good work!

My doctors didn't think I would make it past 28 weeks and today they said they were surprised I was still pregnant and that I've exceeded expectations... You can do the same! Lifting you up girl! I thought I was having these babies this morning and if nothing else may make it am extra day or week!

I'm in the hospital monitering contraction ranging from every 5 min to 2-3 min apart. I've been dilated to a 2 since sincere 6am (it's 12:30pm) now. Hoping to not to further dialate. Had steroid shot  and hope to get my second round late tonight/early tomorrow am. Babies look great thank God. No sleep so in tired. Hoping I stop contracting and go home tomorrow or Monday. Thanks for all of your support you've given over the last several weeks.

What's Your Story? Tell us. / Re: Not much longer but feeling down
« on: August 22, 2014 at 03:28 PM »
I'm sorry you're feeling so down. I have my days as well. I try to focus on the good and remember this is all going to be over soon and when I look back all that will matter is that my babies arrived safe and I did all I could to get them here. Blogging has helped me to document the good and bad of this experience - maybe you could try that or journaling. I look forward to looking back on this and feeling proud of my accomplishment. Lifting you up in prayer and positive thoughts. Hang in there you're so close!

For several weeks my cervix shortened week after week until the last two weeks and now it's holding steady at 1.1-1.5 (one side is shorter than the other). I've been told by my pernital several times the stitch will hold even if my cervix shortens beyond the point of the stitch. If labor starts that's another story bc they have to take stitch out then. You can be very hopefull as I've stayed stable for a long time and am 31 weeks tomorrow with twins. My cerclage was placed at 22 weeks. I'm on full bed rest with bathroom and shower privledges and have been strict about it as sitting standing puts more pressure on the cerclage per my dr.

Preterm Labor: Anything and Everything / Cerclage Question
« on: August 20, 2014 at 06:11 PM »
Does anyone know anything about cerclage removal? My doc said he will remove mine at 35/36 weeks but didn't say how that procedure works. Does it hurt? Will they need to numb? If anyone knows please share. Thanks!

Very good news! I'm also on procardia . I was having a ton of contractions which I believe were from a growth spurt but they have since stopped altogether. You've got this girl!
