Congrats! So happy for you. Great job on bedrest and making it to week 39. That is amazing. I love the name. I hope your recovery from bedrest goes well. You were a great support while I was on bedrest. Glad we overlapped! Enjoy your time with your little one :)

Pregnancy Complications / We made it!!

My little miracle made her appearance yesterday.
After having bulging membranes, dilation, with rescue cerclage placement at 21 weeks I was told she wouldn't make it
And if she did we would only get to about 26 weeks. Well after being on bedrest from 21-36 weeks I ditched my stitch at 37 weeks and had a csection yesterday at 39w2days. Perla Victoria was 8lbs10oz 20.5 inches long and is happy and healthy.
Have faith everyone, you can beat the odds, baby dust for all!!

Oh, , Jessica. That sounds absolutely horrible.  :'( I can't imagine. I truly hope that you're not in pain today. Hopefully you're are feeling better and can start to get excited. You made it to term! You really did it!

Please do keep me up to date, even if it's to say you are still cookin'. Maybe you can post an update on today's roll call. Even when no one responds, we still have many of our ladies reading the posts. Positive thoughts coming your way for a safe and speedy delivery.  :-*

Thanks so much Angela! Yes, pain from 1800's metal spectulum all resolved LOL. Good thing it's only painful for the 10 minutes it takes to get cerclage out. . This  forum has helped me a lot through this difficult time, thank you! I posted on roll call today as well. I will keep you posted.

Update:

I had my baby girl on 9-7-17 at 5:47am She wasn't being good on the monitor so they did an ultrasound and said she wasn't being active enough. So they did an emergency c section. She weights 4lbs 4.7oz and 17 3/4 in length. She is perfect in everyway. She is doing pretty good! Needs some help breathing. Hoping she can start with breast milk today. And I will hopefully get to hold her!  Thank you for all the continued prayers :)

Just wanted to check in and see how you and your baby girl are doing. :)

Happy Monday Angela and bedrest mommies! I am 38 weeks today and emergent rescue cerclage was placed at 21 weeks for dilation and bulging membranes, after 10weeks of strict bedrest and 5 of modified I can say we beat the odds!! We were told by all doctors to not expect to make it farther than 26 weeks. Well cerclage, bed rest, vaginal progesterone, procardia, and most important lots of prayer here we are.

I have an appointment with Obgyn on Wednesday to schedule csection as this will be my fourth and last csection :).

Stay positive, have faith, you can beat the odds of medical studies and surprise all of your doubtful doctors. Lots of baby dust for everyone. I will keep everyone updated when my little one arrives.

Hi, Jessica! How did the removal go? You could meet your sweetie any day now! Or it could be another 3 weeks... I've seen both happen!  ;) Keep me posted on how you're doing. Big hugs!

Hi Angela. Thanks for checking in. CERCLAGE OUT!!
Yesterday I had my cerclage removed at 37w4d. Specialist did it in the hospital so I could be kept after for monitoring. The stitch removal itself did not hurt the worst pain was the huge metal spectulum she used, it looked about double the size of the ones that they use for the papsmears and I felt like she had to open all the way. I felt like I was ripping from one hole to another. Took about 10 minutes. Probably made it worse that I have never had a vaginal birth, I'm swollen, and I'm farther along with baby placing A lot of pressure.

They kept me in hospital for an hour and I was sent home. Now We just wait. I will update when she decides to come.

Happy Monday!!! 37 weeks today. Cerclage removal scheduled for Friday :)

After having an emergent rescue cerclage placed at 21 weeks with bulging membranes, ddilation and 10 weeks strict bedrest and 6 weeks of modified bedrest I cannot wait to just take a stroll around the neighborhood with our whole family. Something so simple that can be taken for granted but after this it seems so special.

Feel so blessed and can't wait to meet our miracle.

Congratulations Jensine!!!!! I'm so glad she made it to 38 weeks even though she is still deciding to come a little early. Girls just have their own plans in mind on making their appearances. Please post an update once your princess is here. Thoughts and prayers with you

Congratulations, im so glad to hear she is doing well.  I'm glad she at least held off from coming right away after water broke so it gave time for steroids to take effect.  :)
I will continue my prayers for her, hoping you can have some skin to skin today, most importantly praying for a short and uneventful nicu stay.

What's Your Story? Tell us. / Re: 20 weeks, 1 cm cervix, twins *Update

I have read a large amount of medical studies and success stories and I agree your best intervention as you said is the pessary, vaginal progesterone and possibly progesterone injections as well, procardia if having contractions, along with bed rest and complete pelvic rest. I'm so glad you are in California as they will definitely have specialists and hospitals very educated in cases like yours. :)

Hello. I am not in your position as I'm only carrying one child however I want you to get some info. This is an amazing site but not always very active depending on topic, there are some very active twin IC groups on baby center.com and those members can also refer you to private active Facebook groups for twins and IC and That will lead you to many more resources and and Help you access a larger population of people going through the same thing.
I wish you a lot of luck and lots of baby dust and prayers coming your way. Keep us updated

Babyb your doing awesome we are almost to the finish line.

Hi Angela. When on bedrest I would have family make bed in the morning so I could feel like I had a morning routine, nothing like laying on a nice neat made up bed, and I would lay on top of the covers with a light shall blanket to cover my legs and feet  when needed.

I like title #2 for the book. Congratulations on that!!
