Hi all,

I will be 38 weeks tomorrow, and still cooking.  It is so weird that after 10 weeks of bedrest and daily meds for preterm labor, that once I hit 36 weekks, and could get up and not take anymore med she stays put.  Hopefully she will grace us with her presence very soon.  Her big sister is so anxious to meet her. Everyday that I pick her up from school now, she isn't happy to see me because that means her sister is still in my belly.  According to her though her sister will be here on Sunday.

Wishing all the mommies the best.  Bedrest is one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I know shortly it will all be worth it.

Hello Everyone,

So excited to see so many new expectant mommies on the site.  I will be 36 weeks on Wednesday  ;D.  As of last friday , I was released from strict bedrest after 10 weeks in bed.  I am allowed to now do most things, however I am supose to take it easy and keep my feet up as much as possible.  She is not allowiing me to go back to work though.  She wants me to follow more like a "modified" bedrest.  So excited to be able to go get a eyebrow wax, a hair cut and color, and a pedicure.  Being able to now tuck my little on in at night, and now being able to take her to and from school is such an amazing feeling after being dependent on everyone else.

I believe bedrest is soooo worth it.  I know I wouldn't have made it this far without it.  Keep your heads up mommies, there is a light at the end.  Now its just a waiting game till my angel arrives in 2 1/2 weeks, or before.

Hello Everyone,

Checking in at 35 weeks (tomorrow)!! Getting so excited knowing only one more week of bedrest.  I switch my blood thinners on Friday to one that can be reversed if I go into labor before my inducion.  I'm getting so big I am now very uncomfortable and can't sleep.  But this will all be worth in within a month.

Hope everyone continues to have a great week.

Finally hit the 34 week mark!!  Wooohoooo!  Went to the Dr. today, and am not dialated to a 1.  Up till now I was closed.  She didn't seem to worreid about this.  I also asked if I could start doing small things around the house, and she agreed!!!  Huge bonus!!!!!  But I am to still be on bedrest.  Got myy induction scheduled for 38 weeks.  So my beautiful angel will be here in less than 4 weeks, or earlier.  The 9 weeks of bedrest. Have made such a huge difference.  Even though it is soooo hard, I know its all worth it.

Hi Everyone!!!

Finally hit 32 weeks!!!! I am soo happy to say that I've made it this far.  FFN last week also came back Negative!  Wooohoooo.  Dr said if I can make it two more weeks, she won't do anything to stop my labor.  Depending on my cervical changes she may also start letting me get up at 34 weeks (what I wouldn't give for a pedicure).  I have gotten permission to go out to dinner on Monday for my daughters 8th birthday.  I am so excited about this.  I know how happy she is going to be.  I'm still optimistic on hitting 38 weeks.  So glad to see everyones progress.  Looks like there will be many blessing being born within the next few months!!

So sorry to hear about your previous losses.  Congrats on hitting the 27 week mark!  I got put on bedrest at 26 weeks due to PTL, I am now 32 weeks and still on bedrest.  I have an older daughter who will be 8 next week, so I had previously gotten rid of all baby items.  I like yourself have also had 3 miscaraiges (however mine were earlier in the pregnancy).  I was still scared to buy anything just in case.  We had not purchased anything, and then I got put on bedrest.  I have found that amazon and ebay have become my best friends.   For me, it gives me a little something to look forward too.  Also not knowing when or if ill get off bedrest before I have my daughter put things into a larger perspective for me.  There are certain things that she is going to need.  I would tell you to get the basics, things that you can't do without if you are still worried.  As you progress furthur in your pregnancy maybe you'll get more comfortable expanding the type of items that you are buying.  We still have not gotten a crib, because I know I won't use it right away (I will use the pack n play and put it in our room), same with a highchair.  Wishing you the best!!!                              Brandi

Checking in at 29 weeks 5 days.  I have good days and bad days, contractions on a whole are slowing down.  I'm finding it much harder to comply with bedrest when I'm feeling so good.  Here's to another week my angelface has stayed cooking.

We had our sono yesterday!!!!  Everything looks great!!  We will be welcoming a liittle girl to our family.  So excited.  She already weights 3lbs 2oz at 29 weeks.  Bedrest is helping too.  Cervical length went from 2.7 to 3.1 so that's another bonus.  Seeing her stick her tongue out at me on the sonogram was breathtaking.  So excited for our little one to join and complete our family.

Happy Monday,

So excited to have made it another week.  I will hit 29 weeks on Wednesday!!  Yeah huge accomplishment from the way things were looking 3 weeks ago.  We have a sonogram tomorrow morning, and will finally be finding out the sex of our little peanut!!!  ( this took a lot of whinning on my part to my future hubby, he did not want to know).  Another FFN swab as well tomorrow.  Hoping this one will also come back negative.

Wishing everyone a great week!!!

I know exatly how you are feeling.  I'm 27 weeks at have been on bedrest for a week now.  I started having contractions last week and am now on Brethine ever 4 hours as needed.  My daughter is 8, and been such a big help.  My house is trashed, and all I can think of is that I've got atleast 9 more weeks of this (hopefully).  Keep your head up your not alone!!
