Congratulations with your pregnancy!!  I am 29 weeks 5 days today and have been on bed rest at home for 5 weeks with two trips to the hospital with treatments similar to what you have mentioned. Bed rest definitely has its challenges but in the scheme of life I try to remember this will be a short span of time, but it is definitely worth it. Each day gets your daughter a little farther.

Thanks for sharing your story.  It helps to hear from someone in a similar situation.

I appreciate hearing your story.  I am on modified bedrest for a short cervix, and have been in the hospital twice so far with contractions and have gone through two rounds of steroid shots. I am at 28 weeks and was encouraged to hear you are at 30 weeks.  Congratulations!! 

I also have a toddler at home.  My daughter is 21 months old.  Thank you for sharing your list of activities.  I have been looking for ideas of ways to play with my daughter without increasing my activity level. 

Keep staying positive.  You are doing great.

Making the Best of Bed Rest / Re: Made it 5 weeks on bedrest before my son came

I felt draw to respond to your post. I am currently my fourth week of bed rest with my second child, but your post reminded me of my first child.  I went into labor unexpectedly and it could not be stopped. We did not realize that I had an incomplete cervix until my second pregnancy.

My daughter was born at 26 weeks and 3 days weighing 1 pound 15 ounces.  She went through struggles with an open heart valve, breathing, feeding, and weight gain among other things and spent 76 days in the NICU, but now she is 21 months and other than being smaller than her peers no one would ever know she was born premature. She is our little miracle.

I know your journey with your son will not be easy, but hang in there.  Miracles do happen.  You are in my thoughts.
