Almost 31 weeks here. Finally June is finished. It went very quickly though. I am hoping for a quick July. I have appointment on this Thursday, 3rd July and an ultrasound on 11th July.

This is again a long weekend in Canada. So, we are painting baby's room. It is almost finished. We bought double stroller today and few other things for the baby.

Three more weeks and if everything goes well, I will be off the bed rest. I would really appreciate any advice on how to get my strength back as at the moment I am really out of shape, huffing and puffing if I have to walk a little a bit.

Also would like to hear from other members how everything is going!

I am in Canada.

I am craving chips and cream soda :)

I have not been to India either since my daughter is born. It's just way too long trip. We do plan to go but don't know when. Before we go, though, I need few vacations in South. All the past vacations, we have been visiting family, either mine or my husband's.

That's great news! On with the bed rest.

I am so glad we are all cheering up!! Finally there is light at the end of tunnel.

I am from India too!! Delhi to be specific.

Best of luck!!

I am 30 weeks today. You are almost 32 weeks. It's true it feels great to be in 30s. Not as much as I thought but at least it is getting near.

Will you have another ultrasound soon? I have a scheduled ultrasound at 32 weeks and 1 day which is on 11th July. It is just to see how the baby is doing.

30 weeks today!! I thought I will be less anxious when I hit 30 but this is not the case. What is amazing though that the last 10 weeks do not seem bad. Now it seems that time passed very quickly. And soon I will be off the bed rest. Better take advantage of it now :)

Almost 30 weeks here. Finally out of 2s. Can't wait to get to 34 weeks and out of bed rest. Last Saturday, finally we have selected a double stroller which my daughter liked. She is so happy to be helping in choosing stuff, considering she always get a thing or two when we go shopping :)

I keep writing the post but my daughter keeps interrupting, so I never get to really post it.

Hospital bed rest is hardest. How are you doing now?

I do not have any advice on how to cope with it unfortunately but please check for the member named "lilcapmom". She was on hospital bed rest for both of her pregnancies for extended length due to short cervix. She delivered both babies at full term.

I do have a bit of experience with pre-eclampsia. With my first pregnancy, when I went to the regular appointment at 36 weeks and 3 days, my blood pressure was high and there was a bit of protein in the urine. So, I was induced the very next day but it did not work. They stopped the hormones and I was induced again the next day which again did not work. But in the mean time, my numbers were back to normal, so they sent me home. After that I had one more appointment where my blood pressure was fine and there was no protein. Also, my hospital sent a nurse to my house every few days to keep an eye on the blood pressure which was never high again. I was induced again at 38 weeks and 3 days. After being in labor for two days, finally I had a c-section.

Now did I have pre-eclampsia, they are still not sure but I am on baby aspirin from 10 weeks onwards. My blood pressure is normal.

Your numbers may also go back to normal. Think happy thoughts. Try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know.

Best of luck. Keep posting and join for chat on Tuesdays.

Missed the chat today. I fell asleep!!

It is hard. My daughter is almost 3 and a half now, so she understands quite a bit. She was going to the day care twice a week. This year in the beginning she finally stopped crying. Otherwise she was crying every time we dropped her. She has a best friend now, so she is excited to go to the day care. When I started bed rest, we started sending her 3 days a week. She really likes it as she gets to play more with her friend.

At home, we try to occupy her with outings to her grandparents and parks. Fortunately it is summer time, so she gets out plenty.

But of course, we do not spend that much time together anymore which sucks. We had a brutal winter, so we talked a lot about what we are going to do in summer, plant vegetables, go to picnics, vacations, zoo, swimming, etc. she still gets to do a lot of it but without me.

I just keep reminding myself that this is a temporary situation. Few more weeks and we will be back to normal.
