Hi, there!
Thanks so much for sharing your story and offering this advice to our moms. You're so right about what you said:  Even though bedrest seems like forever, once it's over, it seems like a blur.

Wishing you, Baby Jenna and your family all of the best!

That is so VERY VERY wonderful to hear!!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us, and your success story. You are going to bring hope to more moms than you can imagine!

Hello, ladies!
So tell us what's new! Does anyone have any new books or movies to recommend to help pass the time? Also, does anyone want to propose a topic for our live chat tomorrow at 2 pm Eastern/11 am Pacific? Or, we can keep it open to discuss anything.

Keep those babies cookin'!

Ladies,
Your responses give me the chills and bring happy tears to my eyes. Thank you for finding a light in of all of this and sharing that with us.

Hello! Here's something to get the week started with some positive thoughts.

Tell us the most important thing you've learned while on bedrest. It can be philosophical or something practical (like knitting or a craft, or something you read in a book about newborn care) or something silly or fun (like how many animals have blue tongues: bit.ly/1QSkfen)

I'll start. When I was on bedrest, I learned that there is only so much in life you can control. For the rest, you just HAVE to let go.  (I also learned that my husband has NO idea how to fold towels, but he CAN cook.  :D )

Hope to see you all on the live chat tomorrow!

Keep 'em cookin', mamas!

I'm sorry to hear you're in the bed rest club again.  :( Good for you for going to get checked out right away. I think that is going to be a big part of you cookin' as many weeks as possible. Any time something has changed, and of course if you're having contractions, always call. I know you will stay on top of it.

Will you be able to line up childcare of some sort? For me, I called it a patchwork of helpers: parents, siblings, college students. It was tough to patch together, but I had help for a large part of each day. I stayed on a futon in the family room so that I could still be a part of the action. It can be so hard.

We will certainly be here for you!

Hi, Alet.
I am so very sorry you have had such a difficult pregnancy journey. I wanted to let you know I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you and wish you the best at your appointment tomorrow. Please let us know how it goes. (((Hugs)))

Congratulations on 36 weeks! Now you get to be a "normal" pregnant lady. Go buy yourself a cute maternity outfit and flaunt that belly. Enjoy it!

Hello, ladies!
You all are doing the most important job in the world and you deserve all the support you can get!

The last couple of weeks on the Live Chat have been pretty slow. It would mean a lot to me, and especially the other bedrest moms here, if we could count on more of you to come out. It can be a lot of fun! Please let us know if you will be on the chat tomorrow. :)

Pregnancy Complications / Re: Short cervix 1.8 @ 19 weeks

Congratulations! I am so happy for you that I have chills. It's time for non-stop snuggles!

Thanks for posting your success story! Amazing! Has there been any study regarding hot showers causing the cervix to shorten? Or did your OB recommend against them? Thanks for the additional info.

Congrats on a stable cervix! Did they talk to you about anything you can do to increase the amniotic fluid, such as drinking a certain amount of water? Or how often you should lay on your side to increase blood flow, which will help with growth? I can't provide medical advice, but those might be some questions to ask.

It's so stressful, but I hope you can still stay optimistic. You first posted five weeks ago and here you are ... still cookin'.

Happy Monday, ladies. I'm looking forward to your updates!

I have an exciting update today. I have co-authored a children's book. It's called "Stuck In Bed: The pregnancy bed rest picture book for kids ... and moms." It's about a boy whose mom is on bed rest and the questions he has, which are then answered optimistically by his mom. It's playful and fun, and then there are tips for moms for making the most of this time together. The Launch Party is Wednesday, and we'll have giveaways and will be reading the book live. You can find out more on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stuckinbedbook/ Here's a link to it on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2HnPmNW

How have all of you been? What's coming up this week that you are looking forward to?

Keep 'em cookin', mamas!
