That's tough.  Hang in there.  At least you are at 34 weeks now, bed rest will be over soon.
I sent out an email every couple of days to my family & friends, the subject line was always "Day XX of Bed Rest", when it got past Day 60 people finally started to realize that it wasn't just a big happy pajama party!
Good Luck & remember to use this board to vent as much as possible - it will help keep you sane.

Doctor's appt update:  I'm dialated to 5cm now.  My labor will induced on Tuesday March 1st!
Talk about irony - after 13 weeks of bed rest, 17p injections, and the occassional tributaline sulfate prescription - now they will induce my labor.  Tuesday will be 38wks and 5days.
The doctor said she would 'break my water' - can anyone tell me what to expect?  I'm imagining sharp objects!

Welcome back Elizabeth!  I would take it as a good sign that they've discharged you.
As for your Braxton Hicks contractions, I don't know.  It doesn't sound abnormal, but I'm no expert.
Congrats on making it 33weeks!

Thanks for all of the well wishes everyone.  I appreciate it.

The ultrasound was fun - the baby weighs 6 1/2 pounds, and we could see that she has hair on her head!  Very cute, can't wait to really see her for the first time!

I noticed that since my 17p injections have stopped that I have been able to increase my carb consumption without 'busting' the blood sugar limits.  So, I looked online and found this study:
http://care.diabetesjournals.org/content/30/9/2277.full.pdf

Not that I am frowning upon the 17p injections - I truly believed they helped me make it to 37 weeks (almost 38 now), but its good info.

Lanespoli, is there someone you can call to get a refresher on the instructions??  I know every doctor is different, but I had to fast for 12 hours.  Wasn't even allowed to have water.
Good luck - I hope you pass!  I wouldn't wish gestational diabetes on anyone - its tough being pregnant without most of your comfort foods!

Hmmm....good question LoransMommy.  I have had this problem, but luckily only my feet.
Maybe you have a thinner set of sheets and thinner blanket to use on the bed?
Sorry, hope it passes soon.

Still cooking at 37wks+4days.....despite having dialated 4cm as of Thursday.  I'm extremely hormonal already this morning.  I screamed at the cats and they ran out of the room and having come back.  My grandmother emails me 3-4 times a day to ask if I'm in labor yet, and its annoying the $#it out of me.
We have an ultrasound scheduled for 3pm today, and I'm sad to say I am not at all excited or looking forward to the appointment.  What is wrong with me?

At the risk of giving more stupid advice.....every day we are a step closer to getting off bed rest and joining the real world again!

Update:  I had contractions yesterday evening and all night, but then this morning they stopped.  So we are just waiting.  I have no idea what to expect now - if they will start up again soon, or if it will be days from now.

Like the human body even works that way - you can not 'store up' rest/sleep like a camel filling his hump with water!

what about all the cliches?

"your life is about to totally change"   - oh, having a baby will change things?...hmmm...hadn't occurred to me.

"you'll miss all of this free time on the couch"  - this one irritates the crap out of me.  don't say this to bed rest mamas!!
