welcome to this wonderful group.
I had my cerclage at 15 weeks and I'm at modified bed rest. The activities I can do are very limited, and I'm trying to take it very easy because I'm only 19 weeks and 3 days (today). My cervix is very short (about 1 cm) and soft, but the cerclage is doing its job.
These first 4 weeks of rest went fast for me but I still have 15 weeks and it is a long time :)

good luck, and have a good week.
Did you just started your bed rest?

I'm very sorry you are in this painful situation, but try to stay calm, you can do it. Trust the doctors and everything will be fine.
Think positive, in the hospital you are under control 24 hours a day, they can help immediately and in the best way.
Stay strong

I hope you are doing well.

Hello Everyone
I'm Bloom (Daniela) from the Chicago area. I'm 19 weeks and 3 days today. I had the cerclage at 15 weeks and it went well. Last Friday the doctor told me that I still need to take it easy, stay with my feet up as much as possible. My cervix is only 1 cm and still soft, but the cerclage is doing it job.
The cervix was basically gone before the cerclage and from the cerclage it is been stable but still short and soft.  I'm scared because I'm barely 20 weeks, and I have a long way to go. The progesterone shot helps a lot.

I miss my daughter, she is in Italy with my parents and family, but it is easier without her.

This week I have the 20 weeks ultrasound, looking forward to that. I'll probably stay home for the 4th, even though the doctor said I can go to visit friends if once I'm there I lay down in a lounge chair.

I hope everybody is doing well
Take care

This is my second week of bed rest.
I'm 16 weeks and 3 days and I have a long way to go.
I had my cerclage last Monday. The surgery was complicated but went well.
This Saturday my husband and my 4 years old little are going to Italy to see my parents and family. My husband is coming back after a week, while my little girl will spend part of the summer there with my parents. I was supposed to go, my first pregnancy was fine, bed rest was a surprise.
I'm going to miss her a lot, but it will be easy to rest if she is there.
Have a good week everyone :)

Hello Everyone
My name is Daniela, I'm 16 weeks and 3 days pregnant on bed rest.
I had a cerclage last Monday (June 4, 15 weeks and 2 days) for IC, after the surgery the doctor said that the cervix was basically gone, she had to pulled it back (no idea how she did that) and put a cerclage. I went for a check up Friday and the cervix looks better, but I don't know how long it is. Now I'm on bed rest.
I will start my progesterone shot next Friday at 17 weeks.
At the 12 weeks appointment the cervix was fine, but because I had a cerclage with my first pregnancy we decided to do it even with this one. Between week 12 and week 15 the cervix changed drastically. But I'm glad the doctor was able to put the cerclage, now I hope that with bed rest and P17 Shot I can keep the baby until at least week 32.

This is a great forum, it is wonderful to read abut so many successful stories.
I wish good luck to all of you
