Monday Roll Call for February 6
« on: February 06, 2012 at 10:07 AM »
This weekend my son (while playing with his Batman and Robin figures) said he wished that he had a Wonder Woman figure so that I could be her.  ;D Of course, that made me think of all of you! You are Wonder Women, doing everything you can for your babies. And you're also so wonderful for the support you provide each other! Whenever someone's having an especially tough day or week, you all are there. And our bedrest graduates too! So thank you!

Anybody have any appointments this week? I hope to see you all at our live chats on Tuesday and Thursday! I'm already excited about next Tuesday's chat when Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist Dr. Adam Wolfberg will be joining us again. Get your questions ready for him!

Keep 'em cookin', mamas!

Amazingly, I'm still here at 37 weeks tomorrow and will have officially made it full term!   ;D
I'll have my weekly check on Wednesday to see if there's been any change from last week.  There has only been the very minimal changes so far.  As of last week I'm dilated to 2 and I'm not sure what the effacement was last week, but the week before was 80%.  I am not having contractions to speak of.  Just random tightening; although some are getting a little more painful...
It's so weird that my body and little one have decided to behave "now" instead of earlier in the pregnancy   ;)  I'm just going with the flow now, wondering how long it will be before I get to meet him/her  :)

Hi all. Well, last night I ended up at the hospital with contractions that were coming every 6-7 minutes even after vistaril. They ran another FFN and it came up negative but did a check and I am dilated to 1 right now... They sent me home and I saw my dr this morning. He said he was concerned about me being dilated this early and with my 1st child, but since the FFN was negative he was pretty certain I have a couple weeks in me. He told me that I was allowed to get up a little because I was holding some fluid, but not for any real length of time. Which thrills me cause I can walk outside and see the sun! Also, he told me he didn't see why I couldn't have my shower that was planned before all my problems. I just have to stay seated and let everyone bring stuff to me, which I am pretty sure I can handle. :P

I go back in 2 weeks for another appointment and ultrasound. They are going to check my length again and also check the babies growth.

So.. pretty good news considering what I thought he was going to tell me. =)

29w3d!!!! ;D  Feeling pretty good (well, tired, but...)! Spoke with the nursing coordinator from L&D today and all is set for 5 weeks from today! Can't believe we'll meet our little guy so soon! Sounds like that day is being really carefully orchestrated (with good reason!) and that everyone is on top of everything. She assured me that they are still trying to keep everything as family-centered as possible, which is really nice to hear!

Have a prenatal on Wednesday and am going weekly now. Ordered the stroller and car seat over the weekend!! I'm trying to let myself feel excitement and joy, so I can really welcome this new life properly!

So happy to see people making it so far in their pregnancies! Go mommies!!!

Still here 35 weeks+.  I am scheduled to have my cerclage removed Wednesday and I will be 36 weeks on Thursday, I am hoping it is as painless as possible?! :(
I am having contractions, nothing too crazy, but they certainly increase as I am up and about. I am obviously eager to see how long I carry after, but so excited that after all the "rest" we made it this far! Hope everyone has a good week!

Mommy to Haley (gest. 28 week 1 day) born June 2009.
Hoping for a healthy Baby Boy due March 8, 2012; Bedrest @ 22 weeks for IC

Hi Ladies!  I am holding steady at 28 + 4.  I am happy to be at home still- they plan to put me in the hospital at 30 weeks.  All the Drs feel confident that my vasa previa is moving out of the danger zone. But the fetal blood vessel is still pretty close to my cervix and no one can tell me with 100% confidence that it won't rupture when my water breaks or when I dilate which is why I am going in at 30 weeks.
My cervix is staying stable since I started my bedrest which gives me lots of confidence that I can have a success story like so many I read on here!
Have a great week everyone!

Hi Ladies, KitKat here checking in at 36wks3days. I am so thrilled to make it this far. Of course I credit the good lord above as well as my OB & Perionatologist. I had a successful checkup yesterday. My OB says she would like to induce me in about 3 wks at 39 wks to be on the safe side. She says it may be a good idea with me and my history of multiple losses.
Good Luck to all you ladies that are still cooking... keep those babies cookin!

Hi Everyone!!!

Finally hit 32 weeks!!!! I am soo happy to say that I've made it this far.  FFN last week also came back Negative!  Wooohoooo.  Dr said if I can make it two more weeks, she won't do anything to stop my labor.  Depending on my cervical changes she may also start letting me get up at 34 weeks (what I wouldn't give for a pedicure).  I have gotten permission to go out to dinner on Monday for my daughters 8th birthday.  I am so excited about this.  I know how happy she is going to be.  I'm still optimistic on hitting 38 weeks.  So glad to see everyones progress.  Looks like there will be many blessing being born within the next few months!!
