February 13th Roll Call!
« on: February 13, 2012 at 10:17 AM »
Hello, supermoms!

I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's updates! Also this week, please tell us the most important thing you've learned while on bedrest. It can be related to bedrest or just something you've learned (like about knitting or a craft, or something you read in a book about newborn care, or something silly or fun).

I'll start. When I was on bedrest, I learned that there is only so much in life you can control. The rest you just HAVE to let go. (I also learned that my husband has no idea how to fold towels.  :D )

Keep 'em cookin',
Angela

Hi Everyone!! 30w3d! Only 4 more weeks to go before BABY TIME!!!!

Beginning this Wed., I go in weekly for NSTs and dr appt every week. Really trying to focus on just savoring these last few weeks of being pregnant and praying that my uterus holds together and that Baby Boy stays healthy!

Hmmmmm.... I've learned a lot on bed rest, but I would say that for a Type A personality like myself, the most important thing I learned is that as long as no one is permanently damaged, everything will be just fine. As a sub-lesson to this, I discovered that some people are just naturally helpful people and some people have great intentions, but just are not able to help you out the way you need.  ;)

Keep Cookin', Mamas!!! ;D

38 weeks tomorrow  ;D
Here begins the really hard waiting game.  I'm so anxious for baby to be here!

I've learned that no matter how hard it is, it's okay to accept the help that is offered and there's no need to feel guilty.   I felt guilty most of the time, but as I look back now, I know that there was no need to.

34 weeks with my twin girls today! Taken off procardia 2 days ago due to it causing heart palpitations. Had my NST this morning and was having 6 contractions in the hour I was on it, so i'm back on the procardia! Cervix lengthened though!!! Friday it measured 2 cm and today it was 2.2cm! We're hoping for two more weeks of cookin' time!!!!!

I've learned PATIENCE since being on bed rest!! Not only that but i've also learned it's ok if the house is dirty...it can wait!!!!

Hi everyone. 24 wks 2 days and this is my first roll call.

After being on bed rest now for 11 weeks, I have learned that my husband is much more capable of taking care of things than I thought. Going from a stay at home mom to a couch potato mom can be hard, but a great family, and hopefully a healthy baby will make it all worthwhile.

Hi all! 32 weeks and a few days right now. Had baby shower Saturday and it was a blast! Even with the snow we got here we had 30+ people show up! I go back to the dr feb. 20th for a new check of cervix and to get an approx weight on little Brody.

What have I learned while on bedrest? Patience and organization. I think I have reorganized all the baby clothes and made lists to the point where it is almost ridiculous. haha!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

I was 36 w 4 days yesterday when I had my son Jalen! I will post the story later on the other board. He was 5lbs. 8 oz. at birth and he is doing beautifully. They let him room with us last night and they were watching his blood glucose and temperature regulation, but both have improved :) And we hope to be discharged like normal on Wednesday  ;D

I have learned that I am horrible at scrapbooking, that 2 year olds can not only sense stress but help to relieve it as well. Yesterday was the best gift and I am so thankful that my docs and support got us to there.

Thanks for the support~~

Hi Everyone... I'm checking in at 37wk/2days today. Still in awe that rest, relaxation, and the reduction of stress got me to this point! We are so happy to have passed the fully cooked point. Now the nerves have set in for me wondering when our son will make his grand entrance. We've gotten the nursery up... and we have his bassinet waiting in our room.

During this bedrest I've learned thst boredom was a good thing because my body had to be relaxed so that my son could cook!

Oh I am so sorry that I missed the chat today- I would have loved another MFM opinion on my condition.  Oh well, maybe I'll keep baking for the next one!  I actually had to go into the office today (first time in awhile) and couldn't get away...

Anyhow, I am here at alllllllmost 30 weeks.  29 +5 to be exact.  I have learned on BR that my husband is actually quite capable of taking care of things around the house.  It has been good for both of us  :)
