Monday Roll Call for June 11

Hello ladies!

Let us know how many weeks along you are, and tell us how you're doing.

What will you be doing to celebrate Father's Day? Order a special dinner? Help your kids make cards? Make a special card of your own? Have a stay-in movie night? Try not to be discouraged, just get creative.  :)

Keep 'em cookin', mamas!

Today I am 33+0 days with twin boys. In the hospital for almost 11 weeks now because of short cervix. Most of the time I was at 10mm going down to 7mm, after the 30st week I suddenly had 17mm. Wow. Next check tomorrow. I am looking forward to it.
Nifedipine got cut to 1 piece per day, additionally I take more magnesium. No serious contractions yet.
In the womens/mother hospital I am on the current top list of the longest women-who-spent-their-time-lying-here. My prize are active healthy fetus boys whose moves I can see and feel - pretty amazing. Also most of the nurses and doctors know me now and we have chit-chats and what not. I am getting sick of the hospital food though, although it is generally good and changes every 4 weeks.

But here are the good news: I might be able to go home at 34+0. My belly is already huge and heavy. Whew. Wonder how things will be at home. We just moved (without me) and not all things are unpacked yet.

29+2 today! My next cervical measurement is tomorrow, keeping my fingers crossed.  I passed my 3 hr glucose test which was a big relief.  They want me to cut back on my carbs, but I don't need to follow the diabetic diet or anything.

33w3d today, which means eleven more days of bed rest!  my son is helping me count down the days - he's getting pretty excited too  :D.  he's probably envisioning mommy going right back to what i was doing before, though (actively playing outside with him, taking walks, going on outings, etc.).  i plan on putting myself on house arrest and merely moving from one chair to the next in different rooms because i'm slightly freaked about my water breaking while away from home  :-\.  i don't think he's going to get the "true" me back until way after delivery.  our whole family has been affected by this difficult pregnancy, and my little guy has been coping the best he can.

on to father's day... really want my husband to feel pampered and appreciated.  already made some heartfelt items through shutterfly, and i'm surprising him with a round of golf that day while my mom holds down the fort.  he's been such a trooper, going out of his element to support me.  i hope he feels the love.

29w + 5 days, going on my 5th week of strict bed rest due to short cervix + contractions. Had severe upper back pain today, even with doing bed rest stretches. I feel like an old lady ;)

Still brainstorming ideas for father's day... my husband has been incredible, and I'd really like to do something nice for him. He wants to sleep in so hoping my mom can help make that happen. Beyond that, trying to decide on a few crafts + maybe a picnic on my bed. Our 4 year anniversary is just a few days after father's day, so I have been putting a lot more into that :)

I am 32w4d as of today. I have an appointment with my regular ob and also with my specialist tomorrow. Anxious to see how the appointments will go. I know my specialist will be doing an ultrasound so I'm really looking forward to that. I love taking a little peek to see what baby is up to in there lol. My oldest (6 yrs old) is going to be coming into the ultrasound room with me so I'm anxious to see how he reacts. He is so excited! I'm always telling him about the ultrasounds I have so he is super excited to finally get to see it for himself!

For Father's Day my whole family is going over to my parent's house for a bbq so I am looking forward to that. Beings I am on strict bedrest, when we get there I will be confined to a trusty sofa or recliner, but I know they will make sure someone is inside to keep me company. Really  I just want all of the fathers in the family to have a nice day. Yesterday was my hubby and I anniversary. Normally we would go out to dinner and a movie but couldn't do that this year  :(. But this weekend our 2 boys are going sleep over at their grandparents' so I'm looking forward to my hubby and I having a night and probably a whole day alone together. We will order out from our fav restraunt and rent a good movie off of ppv, and enjoy a quiet house for a bit lol !!!! Sorry I kinda went on a bit....everyone have a great week and Keep Em Cookin !!!  ;D

Hello
This is my second week of bed rest.
I'm 16 weeks and 3 days and I have a long way to go.
I had my cerclage last Monday. The surgery was complicated but went well.
This Saturday my husband and my 4 years old little are going to Italy to see my parents and family. My husband is coming back after a week, while my little girl will spend part of the summer there with my parents. I was supposed to go, my first pregnancy was fine, bed rest was a surprise.
I'm going to miss her a lot, but it will be easy to rest if she is there.
Have a good week everyone :)

HI amazing ladies.
Love your stories.  We are at 24 weeks and 3 days today.  Two twin gals:)  Been on bedrest for 4 weeks,
Spent the last week in the hospital for more contractions. I'm finally home on Indocin and strict home
bedrest. Setting goals for our milestones, 28 weeks, 32 weeks, etc.
Counting these days down and feel hopeful from all your stories.
Still have to think of something great to get my hubby.  He's been amazing.
Happy cooking!

Hey Everyone!! I am still here 35 + 4 today.  I can't say that I am doing strict bed rest these days but I am definitely on house arrest, and I only leave to go to the dr, or the various tests that I have to go to every week.  I can't actually believe that I am still holding these babies in.  I am still 4+ cm dilated and fully effaced and the u/s tech told me on friday that she had never in her 12 years experience seen a babies head as low as mine is.  So much for an incompetent cervix!!! My doctor is going to induce me next wedensday if I am still pregnant then.  I will be 37 weeks at that point and I guess around here they consider that full term for twins.
As for fathers day - I am not sure.  My son and I might make a card for him and see if I can manage a car ride to the park for a picnic if the weather is ok.

As of my OB appointment today, I am officially off bed rest!  I'm 36+2 today, and she told me to resume normal activities.  I obviously wont be running any marathons, but I'm happy to report that I can finally get things ready for the little guy.  I did 10 weeks of bed rest, and cannot stress enough how helpful it was to find this forum.  I'll still be around at least until baby is born, but just wanted to say thanks once again to everyone here.  It's been so helpful to see what other women have been going through, what everyone has done to stay sane, etc.

As for father's day, it'll be my fiances first one.  We dont really do big celebrations for holidays like this, but he's done such a great job taking care of me.  I think I will make him dinner for once, maybe bake some cookies.  Nothing too crazy.
