Roll Call for Monday June 25
« on: June 25, 2012 at 09:01 AM »
Hello, ladies!

How is everyone doing? How many weeks are you? Any surprise trips to L&D last week? And who is holding smooth and steady?

I just wanted to say a quick word about preeclampsia today. I never expected that I would get it, and no one ever does. It can come on quickly, so I want to encourage all of you to keep an eye out for its symptoms: high blood pressure, protein in the urine, hyperactive reflexes, pain under the right rib, sudden swelling, sudden weight gain, nausea or vomiting, shoulder pain, vision changes (spots, blurriness), headache, lower back pain, racing pulse, confusion, shortness of breath or chest pain. You can learn more at www.Preeclampsia.org. If you have ANY of these symptoms, report them to your doctor right away.

Hope to see you all on the live chat tomorrow!

Keep 'em cookin', mamas!

i'm still here -- 35w3d today!  this is officially the longest i've been pregnant  :D.  was able to come off bed rest on friday but decided to switch from strict to modified, which is only what my body can handle anyways.  i'm definitely aiming for 36 weeks now and am feeling confident we'll make it there!

i've spent time in the nursery, completing final touches and, most importantly, time with my son.  we played a nice game of catch yesterday, and i woke up with him this morning to let daddy sleep in.  it's great to be playing a more active role before our attention shifts to a newborn.

hope the rest of you are doing well - there hasn't been too many posts lately.  wishing you all the best!
First Child Born @ 35 wks + 1, after 12 wks of bed rest
Second Child Born @ 39 wks, after 13 wks of bed rest

31+2 today, still counting down. No peri appointments until 36 weeks for a growth and to have the cerclage removed if my OB doesn't want to do it.  Have my OB visit Friday. Just trucking along and hoping he'll stay put until August sometime.

31w4d today. Cervix is holding steady, I'm struggling after 6.5 weeks on strict bed rest with 24 more days to go. It was honestly easier in the beginning when the stakes were so high... as the weeks go on + on & summer beckons outside my window I just find myself getting so frustrated. How do you cope as you get closer to your goal?

Wild+wee : Just remember you are doing what's best for baby right now and EVERY DAY counts and makes a difference. Once baby is born you will look back and think " wow that went by quick !! My husband, kids and I usually go the beach with my sister and her family this time every year. I must admit, it sucks that we can't make it this year but I much rather have a healthy baby ! Plus, we really don't have the extra cash right now anyways, newborns are expensive, lol !! Keep up the good work and STAY POSITIVE FOR BABY !!   :)

Today I made 34w 5d. Soo very happy we have made it this far ! I have been in the hospital since Monday evening because I started bleeding, due to pressure on my cerclage. I'm not bleeding as much as I was Monday evening. It is kind of like a "medium" period. My ob wants me to see the specialist today for her to look at my cervix and cerclage, also to get a second opinion. It is very possible that we deliver today or within the next couple of days. I hate not knowing exactly what they will decide to do. :-\ We shall see tho. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers right now. Good luck to everyone, we are doing the best for our babies !!  :)
