bed rest day #10 has been interesting
« on: June 27, 2012 at 04:12 PM »
i'll be 31 weeks tomorrow...and i went to bed last night with some back discomfort and woke up to a back that was in *tremendous* pain. prepare yourselves for TMI- had tons of cramping followed by diarrhea...followed by more pretty bad cramping. my husband is a truck driver and is currently 4 hours away from me and our 11 month old girl and our 7 year old girl. i called him and let him know what was going on, but i'm trying to hold off making any emergency calls until i'm sure this is more than just a false alarm. contractions have started hitting...so now i'm counting.
i know the rational thing to do is to go get checked asap, but you have to understand our situation. we have one vehicle (my husband drove to work this am) we dont have family up here so if i call anyone for a ride, the girls are probably going with me to labor and delivery and i am CLUELESS how to work keeping an 11 month old happy while being hooked up and put in a hospital bed.  :-\
just hoping this SLOWS down. still in a lot of belly pain.
drinking lots of water and laying on my left side. wish me luck.

How are you doing?  As tough as your situation sounds I would DEFINATELY go in. It sounds like you have too many symptoms of labor to not get checked and they might be able to give you something to help and prolong things.  Good luck!

Just checking in. Did you call your doc or go to L&D?
