Anyone have an incompetent cervix?

Have an incompetent cervix? Some OBs now call it “insufficient cervix.” Sounds better, I think! What do you think?

Also, check out this fascinating image from article by Dr. Jen Gunter of an insufficient cervix: http://tiny.cc/6ZfFQ. It might help to understand what you are looking at if you check out this image of a cervix at a normal length: www.fullterm.net/info/fetal_test/what_fetal.html

Angela,
My thoughts: I love the new terminology.  I think all OBs should use it. It sounds much more positive.

I would call it my "idiot cervix" during my many trips to L&D!
