Low amniotic fluid on hospital bed rest
« on: October 06, 2016 at 12:21 PM »
On 9/27/16, we were admitted for low amniotic fluid (3.7 cm) at 28 weeks. Ten days later, we're still here and are told to expect to be here until I'm 34 weeks and they'll deliver then. Anyone familiar?

Welcome jacthweatt! Not familiar with low fluid but i have read on here many ladies that did go through with the same situation as you and made it with a healthy baby at the end. There are some who had busted their water bag and stayed at bedrest and still make it for weeks. Just make sure you are strict with your bedrest and hydrate yourself plenty. I have heard that delivering the baby at 34 weeks is better than trying to keep them in longer due to possibility of infection. A friend of mine had her baby at 34 weeks due to pre e and they both came home together. No NiCU time for the babe.
