PPROM at 33+4
« on: March 11, 2019 at 10:02 AM »
My water broke yesterday at 33+4, but no contractions yet. On hospital bed rest until baby comes. I was previously on home bed rest from 28 weeks due to short cervix.
I had my first son at 28 weeks, so I am happy to have made it further than that, but I am super depressed. All I’ve done for the past 2 days is cry. I’m just not strong enough to handle this again. I am regretting this pregnancy, and for that I feel so bad.  :'(

I am sorry to hear about your water breaking and the emotional struggles you are having. My water broke with my last pregnancy at 34 weeks 5 days and I had a csection the next day. My little one spent 5 days in NICU and was able to come home. Hopong you have a good outcome as well!

Thanks Heather, I am 34+1 and still in hospital without labour. I have a scheduled c section planned for March 28 if I can make it that far. I am feeling quite a bit better emotionally too. This pregnancy has just been a complete rollercoaster

Was your son who came at 28 weeks ok? It is understandable being emotionally strung out when both your pregnancies so far have been extremely difficult and so far beyond what most people around you probably experience. Don't be hard on yourself for struggling. I think most people in your position would struggle. I am glad you are doing better and hope that each day brings more hope to you.

Thanks Heather. Things are getting better and I’m not feeling so down. My 28 weeker had a long 12 week NICU stay but has done very well since that. We are very thankful. Hopefully this little one stays put for a little longer
