Hello,
I am new, found this forum one sleepless night while being at L&D emergency.
At 19+3 after a painful night I was admitted to hospital with bulging membranes on the internal side of cervix, funneling and cervix being barely closed on vaginal side.
After investigating if I had any amniotic fluid leak or any signs of infection, I had an emergency cerclage with membranes pushed back. My cervix is now 1,5cm below the stitch that takes about 0,5-0,6cm. Above that cervix started closing but it's considered dynamic as it can open to the stitch on any pressure. I have spent 10 days at hospital and was released for a home bed rest being allowed toilet privileges. I have weekly check-ups, my husband rolls me in the wheelchair. We are now at 22w with a beautiful baby girl. We are very grateful and we pray and hope we will make it to viability at 24w and beyond.
Every day is challenging emotionally, I don'tbother of immobility perks so much though it can be very painful with muscles fading.
Our biggest wish to have a healthy baby is so close but so far away, I have daily dips when I cry thinking of it, weekends being the worst. I'm petrified of every single pain now, even of Brackston Hicks contractions. I'm afraid of how I sleep, how I move.
Your stories have helped me a lot, knowing women have gone through similar successfully, and women still are.
To Angela's question - seeing our baby doing well and stitches holding on ultrasound, and having an amazing support from my hubby brightens my day.
Take care, we pray for all the mommies and their babies to stay long 2in1 💗
Welcome to another Monday Roll Call!
I know it can be tough to stay motivated, so I thought it might be good to share the things that brighten your day most. For me, the highlights of bed rest were negative FFN tests, seeing my babies on ultrasound, and having my husband paint my toenails. One night he set up a "romantic" dinner on a card table next to our bed. We called it "dinner on the terrace." What keeps you going?
And as always, let us know how many weeks along you are and if you have any appointments to look forward to this week. If you had any appointments last week or any trips to L&D last week, let us know how those went.
I'm looking forward to your updates! Hope to see you all on the Live Chat on Tuesday.
Keep those babies cookin'!
