As always, give us an update on how many weeks along you are and if you have any appointments scheduled for this week. And if you want, feel free to share any New Year’s resolutions, or just tell us something you’re looking forward to in 2011 (in addition  to the safe arrivals of you babies, of course)!

Yuppie!! It's January!

28 weeks 4 days - And so happy to have made it this far. We saw our OB and had an ultrasound last week - my fluid level is back down to a good level again - finally - I actually lost a lb since I saw her because my fluid level was so high before. My cervix is down again - but still not horrible - 2.5 - we were 3.1 2 weeks before - but there has been a lot of up and down with Christmas this year so I wasn't surprised. We're just being super good this week and staying in bed as much as possible.

We see the specialists in Hamilton this week on Friday - they'll do another in depth ultrasound and look at the soft markers in his bowels - and let us know what they're plan is for us. I hope. I'm hoping that we'll find out if we have to deliver there 100% no matter what, or if we'll be able to deliver locally after 36 weeks.

My new years resolution is to stay connected to DH - with everything it's hard to be as in touch with each other as we normally are - and i really just want to make sure that I'm focusing on that even after Mr G arrives.

56 Days until March 1st. 56 more days until the Doctors are okay with him arriving.

blessings ladies - I'm always praying for all of you. so Chin up - it's a new year and this year we're all going to be able to hold our little ones.

30 weeks & 4 days today.
Next appointment is Thursday (probably the usual measuring of fundal height & listening to baby's heartbeat).
Of course there is the 17p shot to look forward to....ick.

Expect bed rest to be horribly boring now that Christmas is over.  No more cards or presents to mail/receive.  Little reason to shop online & track packages.  :(
Baby Girl EDD 3/10/11.  Bed rest since 25wks (11/23/10), due to contractions & history of pre-term delivery.

Happy New Year to all the mommies!!  26w 2days today and still pregnant!!  I'm still at the hospital - day 16 today...  It's been tough as you could imagine, but hanging in here.  I'm pretty much just laying here. Thank God I haven't had any contractions, bleeding or anything, but the reason why i'm hee is because at 22 wks I had no cervix and was a bit open.  I know, it was a scary thing to look at...  I got some good news yesterday.  One of my docs ( they are a group of 3) said that they, and the specialist agreed that if everything stays the same for the next 2 weeks - I'll be 28 wks then - with no contractons, etc., they will let me go home... I coldn't help but get my hopes up!!  I have faith everything will continue to go smoothly!!  My doc mentioned he would go see me at home of Saturdays.  I know they don't do that so I was so thankful and grateful for that - I feel special!!  In the meantime, i'll have to continue taking it one day at a time.
As always, lots of strength and patience for all the mommies in bedrest!

I made it to 34 weeks yesterday!  Even my high risk doc didn't think we would make it this far, boy did I prove them wrong!  I have appts with both my regular doc and the high risk doc on Thurs. I can't wait!  I love seeing my baby girl on ultrasound day, it gives me such excitement that we are even closer to seeing each other.  Having to do a 24 hour urine test today-blah.

Happy New Year! You are one step closer to your due date!

I send my hugs and best wishes to everyone!

Happy New Year everyone! I'm 21w5d and on friday at 22w i get admitted to hospital. i'm trying to think of it as a break from the house and a break for my husband who has to work and look after me and the house. I'm no stranger to long hospital stays so I know what to expect but i'm really hoping the time goes fast. at 24 weeks they'll start me on steroids. we found out at the 20w ultrasound the twins are a boy and girl. i want them so much! my cervix has lengthened from 1.5 to 2.2 in 3 weeks and I'm praying it keeps getting longer.

Cngrats to everyone on making another week and i hope we all get to hold our own beautiful healthy normal babies in the coming months

take care xo

Glad to hear that everyone seems to be having a good week. Especially for Jac with your good news about your fluid levels, I am hoping you will get similiar from the ultrasound results and Elizabeth I really do hope you get to go home. Being in the hospital is so mixed - on one hand it's a nice break as you don't have to worry about cooking, cleaning etc but it's just not the same as being at home especially if you have to be there for so long.

As for me I'm 38 weeks and still cooking! It feels rather surreal to be this far along. I am happy to have the extra time to get ready for baby. I got my registry fully sorted yesterday (my shower is Jan 15 - 3 days before my offical due date). I had registered for a few things but some stuff you just want to actually look at or test. I am sad that the holidays are over but it was a bit stressful having to get sorted for a new baby on bedrest at the same time. It's so overwhelming all of the baby stuff. It's my first so I really don't know what I'll want or need and it doesn't matter what you are looking at - strollers, bottles, etc. there is TOO much choice.

Congrats also to our 2 Christmas babies born last week!

Have a great week ladies and keep cooking!

Happy new year, and congrats to everyone on another week!

I'm 33+6 today, so 34 weeks tomorrow!
I said to my OBGYN at the hospital today "just 3 weeks until he is full born" with a grin, and she looked at me and grinned right back and said "yeah, it's incredible!".
He was estimated to 1.2 kg. today (4 lbs 10 oz)! He's growing and thriving, following his own curve perfectly. And everything else is excellent in there as well. Pee was clear, and BP 131/90.
He did turn to breech position though, and allthough I don't like that, I did get to see his beautiful face on the ultrasound today! :D
(He's been vertex the last month, and he'd better turn again, so I don't have to worry.)

My appointment this week was today instead of the usual Monday so I waited to post. Nothing new to report which is good news. 27 +1 today, still cooking away.
One question, I asked about the FFN test and my doctor said they don't use it routinely, only if you are currently having PTL to try and determine if your contractions might cause you to deliver.  She also said she could do another cervical length via US, but since I am not having regular contractions, it probably wouldn't change anything they are doing if it has shortened. It sounds reasonable, but I also feel like information can help make decisions whether resting is enough or if further investigation is needed. She ran my case by the specialist and they agreed with just continuing biweekly appointments.   Is this on par with what others have experienced?

Yes stayinginthere, I had one FFT at 25 weeks because I was having contractions.  I'm 31 weeks tomorrow - haven't had another FFT, but also haven't had anymore contractions.  They check my cervical length every time I have an ultrasound (about every 2-3 weeks).  I was recently referred to a specialist and he told me that he agreed with all the decisions my regular doctor had made and he wouldn't do anything differently.
Not sure if that helps you.   ???
I guess basically there isn't much more they can do besides bedrest, unless you start having contractions they will give you medication to stop them - or if your cervical length gets too short they may do a stitch.
